I can see Singapore as a economic hub for Asian countries twenty years down the road. Singapore is improving econmically and more jobs are being created.You can imagine the amount of new jobs created when the new Integrated resort opens. Singapore would also be a leading country in Research and Development and Biomedical Science.We are the future workers of Singapore and its best we start thinking what we want Singapore to become in the future. Singapore would use the latest technology in gadgets and telecommunications. Singapore would also be more secure and stable. Singapore would have tight safety standards to prevent terrorist attacks and other crimes. Singapore would be the centre of trade in the distant future because of it's geographic location.Our schools and Universities wil also be world-class.Singapore will achieve these dreams if the students of this time work hard and strive to build a global city out of Singapore.

Lesson learnt, is it not?

I thought what Zidane did that night in berlin was a irresponsible act.No matter how angered or provoked you are you can't afford to lose your cool in a world cup final match.We cannot blame France's loss all on Zidane but it was partially his fault.It was said tha matterazzi had called Zidane a terrorist because of his Islamic and Algerian acestory.Some say Matterazzi called his sister a prostitute.Materrazzi should be fined or even suspended if he did make such racist remarks.Well Zidane has ended his career in such a shameful way,getting sent off on his last match.I personally thought David Trezeguet was the reason why France lost.He missed the penalty for france.Well you cannot blame him.Its not easy stepping in front of a huge crowd and taking penalty.Its more of a emotioanl rollercoater than a test of skills.Some time you just get nervous and miss it.Many great players have missed penalties so this is not something uncommon.Eevn if Zidane ended his career on a sad note,he will always be remembered for his shear class and skill.Say goodbye to a legend who has entertained the world.

Bullying

Bullying is a form of abuse.It is not something unheard of.This form of abuse can be categorized into verbal and phyiscal abuse.Bullying is a weapon of inflicting emotional hurt and stress.It has no limits.Victims of this tormenting weapon go through a painful ordeal.Why do people bully?There are numerous reasons.These causes also have their consequences and solutions.I shall highlight them to you further.

Firstly,let me brief you about the different forms of bullying.There are many methods and modes of bullying.They range from light verbal abuse to infliction of physical pain.The most common type of bullying is extortion.Bullies may demand school children to hand over their pocket money.This may just not happen once in a while.Extortion commonly happens daily and occurs usually in schools.Students cannot eat during their recess periods and starve.Students may not be able to pay intention during their lesson periods.Another type of bullying is verbal abuse.Name calling and scolding vulgarities are some examples of verbal abuse.Giving nicknames to someone else may sound fun but if someone does the same to you,would you feel angry?Of cousre you would.The victim may feel embarrased and may be emotianally hurt.Even if the name calling or scolding of vulgarities stops,the victim may grow up to remember the incident for his whole life.It would have a very enormous imapct on him or her.Tiny incidents like these can have their serious consequences.The last type of bulling I willl highlight to you is physical abuse.Physical abuse may be the consequence of not meeting the bullies demands or it may be for the shear fun of it.But it is not a funny matter.For example,beating up someone may look fun at first but it does not look pretty after the victim ends up with multiple injuries in a hospital.Physical bulling is a serious offence.Those caught will be dealt with serously regardless where it hapens,whether in school or in public.The wounds on the body may heal but the emotional wound will be there forever to be remembered.

Next,I shall tell you the reasons for bullying.Why do bullies do what they do?Some bullies may have lived a life of fear and pain when they were young.Parental feuds may often take place in their homes.Parents or siblings would always shove the blame towards them and beat them.They would feel that no one cares for them anymore.Because of the torment they go through they feel that others should feel the the same way they felt.These people usually are in poor or unstable families.

Other children may live a life of luxury that they do whatever they wish.These people are usually born or related to someone very important like a cabinet Minister or President.They often get away with what they do by corruption.Thus they have no fear of being caught or prosecuted.Luckily this is not the case in Singapore.Those who wish to bully will be caught and will meet the consequences. After all you reap what you sow.

Finally,I shall tell you the solutions for how you and I can stop bullying.The main reason why bullies get away with what the do is because the victims grow increasingly in fear of them and do not voice out their problems to their teachers or parents.They fear that they may get beaten up if they do.

People only dare to bully because they think they can get away with it.If someone gets bullied or threatened,he or she should immediately report this to their teachers,parents or siblings.These people would thus take the appropriate action.Then only will the bullies stop disturbing him or her.Victims should not take matters into their own hands or not it would worsen the problem.The victim may get severely injured in a fight and may get hospitalised for weeks or even months.In conclusion, we must not allow bullies to get away with what they do or else they will continue inflict pain and torment other children.
